Cubic Zirconia (CZ):
This is a man-made crystalline stone that sparkles and shines like a diamond. Made from an alloy of zirconium oxide, CZs have exceptional diamond-like qualities. The Clarity, Cut, Color, and Carat (4Cs) of the today's CZ are quite comparable to a diamond, but without the high price tag.
Sterling Silver:
This is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper.
Rhodium:
Pronounced "ro-di-um" is a rare, silvery-white metallic element that is a member of the platinum group. It is hard, durable, and resistant to acids and corrosion. It is used as a permanent plating for jewelry and is added to platinum to make high-temperature alloys.
Gold Vermeil:
The gold vermeil (pronounced: ver-may) on this site is 18 karat gold on top of sterling silver. Vermeil is a process which was developed in France in the mid-1700s. In the 19th century, France banned production of vermeil because the process involved the use of mercury. In the present day vermeil refers to an over plating of gold onto silver using a safe process. The result is a beautiful shiny gold surface.
